About

What is Neuro Spiky Profiler?

A neurodiversity-informed tool that helps you understand how your brain naturally works — and helps teams work better together.

  • A warm, guided conversation across 12 brain traits.
  • A personal radar chart and plain-language summary of your strengths.
  • Language to ask for what helps you do your best work.
  • Optional, consent-based sharing with your manager or team.
How does this relate to Beehyve?

Neuro Spiky Profiler is a workplace service offered under the Beehyve brand — one product in a growing portfolio.

  • Beehyve is the parent brand and home for our wellbeing and team-effectiveness services.
  • Neuro Spiky Profiler is the workplace profiling product within that portfolio.
  • For now it carries Beehyve branding; it may grow into its own brand over time.
  • Same team, same values throughout: strengths-based, consent-first, and neurodivergent-led.
Who is it for?

Anyone at work — you don't need to be neurodivergent for it to be useful.

  • Individuals who want to understand how they work best.
  • Managers and team leads who want to lead their people well.
  • Facilitators running team-effectiveness or neurodiversity workshops.

The brain model

Is this a medical or diagnostic test?

No. It's a self-awareness tool, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument.

  • It does not diagnose ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or any other condition.
  • Scores reflect self-reported natural tendencies — not ability or intelligence.
  • It is never used for recruitment screening or performance assessment.
  • There are no good or bad results; every profile has real strengths.
What are the 12 traits and 4 quadrants?

Twelve traits grouped into four quadrants of the brain, mapped on a simple model.

  • Top Right — Intuitive: Physical, Visual, Creative.
  • Bottom Right — Empathic: Empathic, Sensitive, Agreeable.
  • Bottom Left — Structured: Reflective, Structured, Organised.
  • Top Left — Analytical: Analytical, Literate, Conceptual.
Where does the science come from?

It draws on neuroscience of the brain's rational and intuitive systems, and academic work on neurodiverse profiles.

  • Grounded in the Prefrontal Cortex (rational, analytical) and Limbic system (emotional, intuitive).
  • Informed by the academic work of Professor Amanda Kirby on neurodiverse profiles.
  • Uses the conceptual Quadrant Model framework of two axes and twelve traits.
  • Translated into a practical, strengths-based, shame-reducing experience.

Using it

How does the profile interview work?

A short, friendly conversation — about 10–15 minutes, one trait at a time.

  • A warm chat, not a questionnaire — there are no trick questions.
  • It explores one trait at a time while your radar chart builds live.
  • Your progress auto-saves after each trait, so you can stop and return.
  • Prefer structure? A self-assessment rating mode is also available.
What happens after I finish?

You get your narrative and radar, then choose whether to share.

  • You receive a personalised narrative and your finished radar chart.
  • You're asked whether to share your profile with your manager — entirely your choice.
  • You can revisit it, download a PDF, or change your sharing settings any time.
Can I retake my profile?

Profiles are kept stable; a retake currently needs a facilitator reset.

  • Results are kept consistent so they stay meaningful over time.
  • A fresh attempt currently needs a facilitator or admin to reset your profile.
  • If your profile doesn't feel right, tell your facilitator — that feedback matters.
Who can see my profile?

No one — unless you choose to share. You can revoke access instantly, any time.

  • Your profile is private by default.
  • You decide whether your manager can view it, and can revoke that in one click.
  • Before you consent, managers see only 'pending' — with no data shown.
  • Consent can never be granted on your behalf by anyone else.
Is my data private and secure?

Yes. Access is enforced on the server, your data is encrypted, and you control it.

  • Access rules are enforced on the server — not just hidden in the interface.
  • Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • You can export all of your data, or delete your account entirely (right to erasure).
  • Your profile is only ever used to show results to you and anyone you've consented to.
What can my manager see?

Only the profiles of team members who've consented — scoped strictly to their own team.

  • Managers only see profiles of people who have chosen to share.
  • Access is limited to their own team — never other teams or the wider organisation.
  • They see your radar, dominant quadrant, and tips for working well with you.

Accessibility

Is it accessible and inclusive?

Accessibility is a core design goal, including letting you choose how to read this page.

  • Built towards WCAG 2.1 AA, with strong colour contrast throughout.
  • Keyboard navigable; radar charts have a text/table alternative.
  • This page lets you switch between sections, bullet points, or full text.
  • A calm, low-stimulation design that respects reduced-motion settings.

Still have a question?

If something isn’t covered here, your facilitator or team lead can help — or reach the Beehyve team directly. We’d genuinely rather you ask than wonder.
